Round two: business funding, done in the right order

Two funding rounds in a year.

On a business that's set up to be lent to. We handle the filings, build the file and tell you the order. You sign every credit application yourself, with us beside you.

A business owner sitting on the floor of a bright living room, working on her laptop with her papers beside her.
Here's what nobody tells you

Good business. File that doesn't show it.

Banks don't fund effort. They fund what's on paper, and they rarely tell you why they said no. These are the things we see most:

Revenue in the wrong account

The business gets paid, but the money lands in a personal account. To a bank, the business looks empty.

Cards near their limits

Two cards at 99% can cost 70 points on a file with no late payments at all.

No books

About $200,000 in revenue and no ledger. Nobody can lend against a number they can't see.

A business that isn't set up

No business bank account, no D-U-N-S number, no website or phone that match the filing.

Proof

A real file, both rounds.

David and Anna's family business: a small law firm LLC, no aged company, no shortcuts. Here's every bank, including the ones that said no.

Round one
$54,000
Chase$30,000
Amex$24,000
Five other banksDeclined
Round two, eight months later
$75,000 + $91,000
Chase Ink Unlimited$75,000
Navy Federal (3 applications)$91,000
BestEgg, GMDeclined

Same bank as round one, two and a half times the limit, on a file with eight more months of history.

Total, both rounds
$220,000

$54,000 in round one, then $75,000 and $91,000 in round two, on one family business.

Between rounds: on-time payments, balances down, and trade accounts reporting. Names changed for privacy. Results depend on your file and each lender's decision.

In order

How Angel Profiles works

The same order every time. Most of the work happens before you apply.

  1. Week 1Your funding plan

Send your report and statements. In a 20-minute call you get your path, and a written checklist follows.

  2. Weeks 1 to 4Build the file

Business bank account, business identity, books, card balances down before statement dates.

  3. When the file is readyRound one

You apply to the banks in your plan, in order, over about three weeks. We're beside you for each one.

  4. The next 60 to 90 daysSeason the profile

Payments on time, balances down, trade accounts reporting. This is what makes the next round bigger.

  5. Round twoApply again, with history behind you

Usually larger, because the business now looks the way it actually is.

Where you stand

Three paths. We'll tell you which one is yours.

Ready now

Your business has steady deposits. You can fund against your revenue while we build the rest.

Ready in 60 to 90 days

Your file is solid, but something is holding it back. We fix that first, then you apply.

Not yet

Something on your report has to be resolved first. We tell you exactly what, and check back in 90 days.

Questions

Before you book

Will this hurt my credit?

Applications add inquiries, which is why the order matters. Your plan tells you which banks, in which order, and when to stop. Nothing is submitted without you.

What does 0% actually mean?

Many business cards offer an introductory 0% APR, often for 12 to 18 months. Payments still start right away, and the card's regular rate applies after the intro period. Your plan includes how you'll use the money and pay it down.

Do I need a business already?

No. If you don't have one, Entity Launch sets it up. If you do, we check its standing first.

What if I'm not ready?

Then we say so, tell you what to fix, and book you back in 90 days. There's no fee for that.
